In the process of learning art, it’s very important for me to make a good record. When I want to show you my work, pictures are the key to other people’s interest in the work. Because the key of a work is the process. When people understand the purpose, reason and process of my work, they can fully understand the work.
In the seminar, Gillian first showed us some excellent works, such as a multiplayer game giving a second life to thrift shop lamps.
In order to show their works better, they took a video to show the demonstration method and final results of the project, and explained them.
Then we were taught how to use Premier Pro demonstrate to create good documentation of our own work.
After introducing various tools, I thought that my previous projects can also be displayed using pr. For example, the small game made with p5js, if it is just a link for others to see, others may not know how to play, so You can make a process of playing and add text to the corresponding place for explanation, which is not only easier to understand but also easier to watch.
Provocations and discussions
The purpose of this lesson is to let us know how to read critically. This is a more active way of reading. It can let us understand the article from multiple perspectives and have a deep understanding of it. When we do wholesale reading, we can question the text and our own reading of it, and we are reading James bridle’s New Dark Age: Technology and the End of the Future.
First of all, I saw the cover of this book. Using some bright colors as the cover and white fonts, I can see that technology will bring us all kinds of things in our life. However, warm and cold colors can also show advantages and disadvantages. Secondly, I look for some brief introduction of the author.
James Bridle is a writer, technologist, journalist and visual artist. His writing on literature, culture and networks has appeared in magazines and newspapers including Wired, the Atlantic, the New Statesman, the Guardian, and the Observer. “New Dark Age”, their book about technology, knowledge, and the end of the future, was published by Verso (UK & US) in 2018, and they wrote and presented “New Ways of Seeing” for BBC Radio 4 in 2019.
Chapter 6 is mainly about the simple explanation of AI, that is, to solve problems autonomously without human intervention. To do this, it first needs to learn. But its teacher, that is, we humans, is a group full of ignorance and error. So when AI learns, it also learns our flaws-prejudice, violence, ignorance, etc. Facing such a combination of wisdom and stupidity, it is best not to believe too much. Need at least more understanding,
The author is very instructive: we ca n’t wait for the use of science and technology, and often do n’t consider it comprehensively, and its impact on human beings ca n’t be clearly assessed. The problems of social life today have the shadow of science and technology. Our faith and enthusiasm for technology sometimes points to something other than a beautiful utopia.
The author wants to tell us that we don’t need to believe in AI completely, but we need to decide by ourselves, and we are learning exactly AI technology. With the development of technology, AI technology is developing more rapidly. However, we also need to understand and find some disadvantages at the same time of development.
